Balanced Dividends Blogroll Spotlight #3: Dividend Diplomats

I first came across the concept of a blogroll several months ago. But I didn’t create or publish the Balanced Dividends Blogroll until a couple of months afterward. (Looking back, I have no idea why I didn’t do it sooner!)

There are many great sites within the personal finance / investing arena. Some focus on F.I.R.E. and extreme frugality, while others focus on advanced trading or investing strategies. If you’re looking for a niche or specific topic, it’s likely there is great content out there. It’s just about finding it – hence the appeal of a blogroll (or a massive, kick-ass directory like Rockstar Finance).

As mentioned on the Balanced Dividends Blogroll, I peruse these sites regularly for good content, perspectives, and ideas. The list is growing, as I find myself reading and learning more each week. I do read and visit many other sites, but these are the first that I review each day in my feed for new and insightful posts.

Balanced Dividends Spotlight #3: Dividend Diplomats

Following our inaugural series post and our second series post, I wanted to highlight a site where I first came across two things almost more than any other site:

  1. A very wide range of content and related topics; and,
  2. A great sense of community and giving back.

You’ll find these and many other valuable things from Bert and Lanny over at Dividend Diplomats.

Why Do I Keep Going Back To Dividend Diplomats?

As Mrs. BD is also from Cleveland, she has an affection for nearly all-things Cleveland. Alas, I thoroughly enjoy Bert and Lanny’s site for many other reasons:

  • Stock Criteria – you can see the Diplomats’ philosophy and approach to building a dividend portfolio.
  • Portfolio Details – you get to see it all: stock names, number of shares, income, returns, etc. It’s quite interesting to review.
  • Progress / Updates – perhaps because there are two of them (although I don’t think it would make a difference if they were on their own any way!), readers get great content on a frequent basis.

Bert and Lanny give a little bit. And then give some more. And then even more. From their monthly recap of other readers’ dividends / passive income, to their side hustle series and various other great posts, you’ll find something very entertaining AND informative from Bert and Lanny.

Wrapping It Up

Have you visited Dividend Diplomats before? If not, why are you still here? I highly recommend you checkout Bert and Lanny’s site.

Readers, are there any other sites you’d recommend? Where do you find yourself spending your time? What have you done to progress your goals today?

  1. Great spotlight and welldeserved for the Diplomats. My favourite post is their “Monthly dividend income by you the bloggers!” series where they tally up different totals from the DGI community. Always inspiring!

    1. I know you also really enjoy their site, Tom. Overall, a lot of good stuff by those two!

  2. Mike! Thank you SO much for the feature. I’m happy you let us know that Mrs. BD is also from Cleveland and you will have to let us know if you every make it back in town so we can all meet up!
